The New New Media

A presentation of two business plans that are on the cutting edge of new media technology - September 24, 2003

Oddcast, Inc. has several hundred customers that use Oddcast online animated characters in a variety of ways. Coke and Toyota use the characters to create more dynamic advertising options; Ebay auctioneers have used the technology to improve conversion rates dramatically, other customers have customized web sales agents or developed animated weathermen to deliver weather reports. Oddcast's founders believe this revolutionary technology will ultimately be demanded by every website, enhancing interactive elements like FAQs, realtime customer sales and service, and of course advertising and entertainment. Come see for yourself their plan to conquer cyberspace at this forum and beforehand check out www.oddcast.com.

Personalised Online Photo (POP) creates and sells videos with your child as the star. Leveraging a content library from Viacom, the videos incorporate characters like Barney, Arthur, and Dora the Explorer. Videos are currently being sold under the Kideo brand at www.kideo.com. Although the current focus is sales of longer video products focused on children, POP believes there are major opportunities to leverage this technique for shorter direct marketing and promotional videos. The personalization trend is forecasted to continue its growing importance in media applications and marketing technology. Parents say "Our kids did back flips" after seeing the videos, and the deals in the works might very well give investors a similar experience.
