TourMuse is breaking new ground by providing cultural tourism venues a means to leverage their current investment in audio guidance and collection management systems to effectively extend their relationships with visitors via the Internet before and after the venue visit. The TourMuse service will allow millions of visitors to enrich their experience by permitting them to revisit online the exhibition they specifically enjoyed at the venue, obtain further information on that subject, and purchase related books, merchandise, and gift items. The cultural tourist planning a visit can select a customized tour focusing on their interest. They can book travel and hotel accommodations as well as purchase admission tickets online. Other vertical applications may include retail venues and industrial tours. TourMuse's opportunity stems from the adoption of the new generation of audio devices and database applications. Audio devices now contain more memory for programming and content, and can track visitor click streams, enabling increased personalization of the consumer's experience.
