ENTREPRENEURS IN HIGH TECHNOLOGY: WHAT SEPARATES THE HIGH FLYERS?

The ingredients for success in starting and developing a technology-based company are not obvious. Why, for example, did Akamai succeed while dozens of other companies with similar beginnings fail? It is a question that demands careful consideration by anyone setting up a new company.

The panel will offer perspectives from founders, angels, academics, financiers and entrepreneurs.

Questions include: What represents a good idea? Who should be on the team? Where should funding come from? What partnerships are important? What is the value of incubation?
