BROADBAND: THE HOLY GRAIL

For over 20 years, business people and scientists have been trying to solve "the last mile" hurdle in delivering interactive video/TV to the home.

Regardless of what interactive device "wins" (Morphed TV? PC? Hybrid?), and which means of delivery "wins" (cable? Phone lines? Over-the-air? Something else?), the question remains: Why is delivery of video/TV interactively viewed as "the Holy Grail"?

How do the companies providing the technology to make video streaming possible, and current companies creating and aggregating video/TV for PC delivery, think broadband will reshape how the Internet is used, such as for information delivery, entertainment, shopping, and learning?

What types of broadband content are now being delivered or experimented with and what types of content will be successful?"
