Startup Bootcamp Workshop
This event is being presented by the MIT Enterprise Forum of New York City and the MIT Club of New York and will cover the nuts and bolts of taking the first steps to starting a business before getting to the point of actually raising venture capital. Among the items covered will be the following:
  • Strategy for finding initial sources of capital by leveraging professional network, family and friends
  • Selection of the appropriate legal entity for your business (i.e. S-Corp, LLC, etc.)
  • Entrepreneur and angel investment perspective on the pre-venture capital fund raising experience

Workshop Leaders Biographies
David S. Rose
Chairman of New York Angels
Described by Crain's as "the Father of Angel Investing in New York", David S. Rose is a serial entrepreneur, Inc 500 CEO and Chairman of New York Angels, one of the country's most active angel networks. Dubbed by BusinessWeek "The Pitch Coach" for helping entrepreneurs perfect their fundraising skills, he is a frequent speaker at business schools including Columbia, NYU, Yale ad Harvard. David is Founder and CEO of Angelsoft.

William "Trey" H. Taylor, III
President, Verdant Power
Trey Taylor directs the company's marketing and business development efforts. He serves as Co-chair of the CEO Council for the American Council on Renewable Energy, sits on the Board for the Hydro Research Foundation, and chaired the R&D Committee for the National Hydropower Association.

Managing Partner of the Corporate & Securities Services Group
